Karuppu Kavuni is an ancient black rice with origins in the southern part of India. The rice was only available to the ranks and not available to the masses. “Kavuni” translates into “gates of a fort” implying it was meant for consumption only within the gates of the fort. It is our endeavor to make it available to everyone.
